Find companies in the Platform database by industry, size, location or technology, or look one up by name.
Search the company database from your own code to build target lists. Searching costs no credits; each search that returns results counts towards your plan's number of searches. Authenticated with ?privateKey=YOUR_KEY (see Authentication).

Request body
Website IdWebsite ID from list_websites. The search runs under this website.
QuerySearch filters as one flat object. Every field is optional; combine them to narrow the search.
KeywordsCompany name or domain keyword, e.g. "acme" or "acme.example".
IndustriesIndustries to match (any of them). Only the values in the accepted list work; anything else is refused.
Computer Software
LocationsCompany HQ countries by full English name, or a continent (Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, South America) for all its countries. Only the values in the accepted list work, spelled exactly ("Germany", not "germany" or "DE").
United States
Employees MinMinimum headcount (whole number, at least 1). Applied to the real employee count.
Employees MaxMaximum headcount (whole number, at least 1). Applied to the real employee count.
Revenue MinMinimum annual revenue in US dollars (0 or more). Defaults to 0.
Revenue MaxMaximum annual revenue in US dollars (0 or more).
TechnologiesTechnologies the company uses, by product name. Case-sensitive: "Hubspot" and "Shopify" match, "hubspot" returns nothing. With this filter, total is the unfiltered count.
PagePage number, whole number from 1. Default 1.
CountResults per page, whole number from 1. Default 25.

Use case: Companies using a technology
POST /v3/prospector/companies/search with "technologies": ["HubSpot"] in the query. Add "locations": ["Europe"] (countries or continents, the company's headquarters) and "employeesMin": 50 to narrow it; "keywords": "acme" looks a company up by name or domain.
Use case: Then find the people
Rows come back with industry, employees, country and revenueRange. For the people at those companies, pass the domain to POST /admin/prospector/people/search (Manual search).
