Glossary
The words you meet in the dashboard and in these docs, in plain English.
Short definitions, each with the page that goes deeper.
Lead
A person Happierleads identified for you: a website visitor, a company researching your topic, a match from Web Scraping, or someone found by Prospector or AI Scout. Every lead has a person, a company, what they did and an ICP score. See your leads.
Credit
What one lead costs. Your plan gives you a number of credits a month; each new lead uses one. Hiding or deleting a lead does not give its credit back. When credits run out, new leads stop until the next refill (or an auto top-up on a paid plan); everything else keeps working. Plan, billing & credits.
Exact person vs company
In 174 countries, the UK included, we identify the exact visitor: name, email, phone, LinkedIn, plus their company. In the EU and the EEA, GDPR limits us to the company, plus a suggested contact there who fits your ICP. Which countries get the exact person?
Tracking pixel (tracking script, snippet)
A few lines of code you add to every page of your website, once. It is how we see your visitors. Install the tracking pixel.
Verified / unverified
A website is verified once the dashboard has seen the pixel on your site. Unverified means it has not seen it yet; failed means it looked and did not find it. Install the tracking pixel.
ICP (ideal customer profile) and ICP score
Your ICP is who you sell to: industries, company size, revenue, locations. Qualify compares every lead with it and gives a score, so the best fits come first. Ideal customer profile · Scoring models.
Scoring model
The rules Qualify uses to score a lead: company size, industry, location, job title, pages visited and more. You can write the rules or let AI Assist propose them. Scoring models.
Exclusion (Exclude rule)
A rule that keeps certain companies, domains, countries, industries or job titles out of your leads, and addresses out of your campaigns. Exclude leads.
Prospect / Prospector
A person or company found in the Happierleads contact database rather than on your website. Prospector is the search; a prospect becomes a lead when you add them. Manual search · Auto Search.
3rd-party intent
Companies researching the topics you sell into on other websites, before they ever visit yours. 3rd-Party Intent.
Automation
A rule that acts the moment a new lead matches: post to Slack, push to your CRM, call a webhook, send to Clay or add to an email campaign. Automations run on every plan, trial included. Automations.
Campaign and sequence
A campaign is an outreach to a set of people; its sequence is the emails it sends, in order, with the wait between them. Email campaigns · Sequences.
Mailbox (email account)
The address a campaign sends from: Gmail, Outlook or any mailbox with SMTP/IMAP. Connect as many as your plan allows. Email accounts.
Warmup
Sending and replying to a small number of friendly emails from a new mailbox for a few weeks, so mail providers trust it and your campaign emails land in the inbox. Warmup.
Master Inbox
One inbox with every reply to every campaign, from all your mailboxes. Master Inbox.
List
A saved group of people or companies, for campaigns and exports. You can also upload your own from a CSV. Lists.
Saved view
A set of filters on the leads table, saved so you can open it again in one click. Saved views.
Tag
A label you put on leads to group them, filter by them or use them in automations. Tag leads.
Website ID and {workspace}
Every website has a 24-character ID, used in the API and by AI assistants. In dashboard links, {workspace} stands for the website you currently have selected. Authentication.
Master key and website key
Your two kinds of API key. The master key reaches every website on the account plus billing; a website key reaches that one website only. Authentication.
MCP
The open standard that lets an AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) use Happierleads for you. You connect once, then ask in plain English. Connect your AI assistant.
Trial
A free period with a set number of leads. When it ends, new leads stop; your leads, scoring and automations stay. Trials, offers and lifetime deal codes.
