Exclude leads

Keep companies, domains, countries, industries, job titles or pages out of your leads, and addresses out of your campaigns.

An Exclude rule in your scoring model keeps every matching visitor out before they become a lead: a country, a company domain, an industry, a job title, a page on your site. Excluded visitors are never shown and never use a credit. Only include does the opposite: it keeps only the visitors that match.

Try it on the real dashboard
  1. Qualify → open your model → find the criterion (country, domain, industry, page visited…).
  2. Choose Exclude and pick the values to leave out, or Only include to allow just those.
  3. Save — it applies to new leads from now on.

What you can exclude

  • Your own company and your customers: a Company domain rule with their domains (acme.example). Visits from you and your teammates are free anyway (How credits are used).
  • Countries you do not sell to.
  • Industries or job titles you never want.
  • Pages: a Page visited rule in exclude mode leaves out visitors who only saw, say, your careers or login pages. In include mode, only visitors of the listed pages become leads (track only your pricing and product pages, for example). A rule matches the part of the address you give: starts with, ends with, contains or does not contain /careers.
  • One person: from the Leads page, ⋮ → Block company / person keeps them out (Remove or block leads).

For email campaigns there is a separate list: addresses that campaigns must never write to (your customers, people who asked not to be contacted). Your AI assistant or the API manage it (MCP tab, API tab).

Common questions

Do excluded leads use credits? No. A visitor your rules keep out is never shown and never charged.

Do exclusions remove the leads I already have? No. They apply to new leads from the moment you save. To clean up existing leads, use Re-qualify or remove them from the Leads page (Remove or block leads).

I excluded a domain by mistake. Remove it from the rule and save: the domain is unblocked and its visitors become leads again.

Exclude or Penalize? Exclude means never show them. A Penalize weight on a normal rule keeps the lead but lowers its score, so it sorts to the bottom. Use Penalize when you still want to see them.

Can I exclude people who are not in my ideal customer profile at all? Yes: give the criteria that define your ICP (industry, company size, country) an Only include rule, and everyone else is left out. Fewer leads shown means fewer credits used.
