Common questions
Does connecting Pipedrive send leads by itself? No. Connecting gives us access; an automation decides which leads are pushed, or you push one by hand from the lead's panel. Connect & map fields.
Will it create duplicate contacts? No. Before creating a person we search Pipedrive for the lead's email; if they are already there, that person is used instead of a second one being created.
Which fields go to Pipedrive? Each lead becomes a person linked to an organisation in Pipedrive, filled with the fields in your field mapping: the person's name, email, job title, phone and LinkedIn; the company's name, domain, industry, size and location; and whatever else you map. Set it once under Integrations → CRMs → Configure; the same mapping is used by every Pipedrive automation of the website.
Who owns the leads in Pipedrive? The Pipedrive user you pick in the automation (Assign new records to). Every record the automation creates is assigned to that user.
Why did a lead not reach Pipedrive? Open the automation's run history: a Filtered run names the rule that stopped it; a Failed run shows what Pipedrive answered. If the connection expired, the card offers Reconnect; then Retry this lead.
Does it run on old leads? Only on leads that arrive after you save it, unless you choose Retrigger for existing leads right after saving, or tick leads on the Leads page and Retrigger. Build an automation.
Does the Pipedrive push run on a trial? Yes, on every plan. When the trial or credits run out, new leads stop; the automation keeps pushing the leads you have.
