Email campaigns

Each lead that matches the automation is added to an email campaign as a contact and starts its sequence from the first step, sent from the mailboxes you choose. The campaign itself (emails, sending window, mailboxes) is set up under Engage; the automation only decides who joins it.

1. Automations → New automation. Pick the source, the filter and the frequency, then the action Send to Email Campaign.
2. Pick the campaign (or Create a new email campaign) and, if you like, the mailboxes that send. You can also forward warm replies to your inbox or a teammate.
3. Save & activate. The campaign must be active for the emails to go out.

Is this action locked on a trial? Yes. Sending from campaigns is what a trial does not include, so Send to Email Campaign (and the LinkedIn campaign action) is locked until you are on a paid plan; on the automations list its on/off switch is hidden until then. When does an added lead get the first email? When the campaign next sends: the lead joins as a contact at step 1 and the campaign sends inside the window you set under Engage (days and hours). An inactive or paused campaign sends nothing until you switch it on. Email campaigns.

Which mailboxes send? The ones you tick in the automation (Send from mailboxes, with Select all / Clear all). Connect your own mailbox or buy managed ones from the same step if you have none yet.

Why was a lead not added to my campaign? Open the automation's run history: a Filtered run names the rule that stopped it, a Failed run shows the reason. A lead without an email cannot join a campaign; by default only leads with an email are sent.

Can I only add leads with a verified email? Yes. The automation's email verification settings decide which emails count: only verified ones, catch-all ones, guessed ones. Ask your AI assistant to set it (MCP tab) or set it over the API.

Does it run on old leads? Only on leads that arrive after you save it, unless you choose Retrigger for existing leads right after saving, or tick leads on the Leads page and Retrigger. Build an automation.
