Warmup

Warm up new mailboxes so their emails land in the inbox, not in spam.

Mail providers distrust a mailbox that suddenly sends many emails. Warmup fixes that: your mailbox exchanges a few friendly, AI-written emails a day with other warmup mailboxes, which get opened and answered, and the number rises slowly. Providers learn to trust the mailbox before your campaigns use it.

Try it on the real dashboard
  1. Integrations → Email Accounts → ⋮ on a mailbox → Email Warmup Settings (or the Warmup switch on the row).
  2. Pick how hard (conservative, normal, aggressive) and the Target Daily Limit (5–60 warmup emails a day), then Enable Warmup.
  3. Watch the Warmup column (sent / limit) grow toward the target. Switching warmup off is immediate.

Common questions

How long does warmup take? Give a new mailbox at least 14 days of warmup before it sends campaigns. Start it the day you connect the mailbox, and keep campaign volume low until the Warmup column has reached its target. Warmup can stay on while campaigns run; it keeps the reputation up.

Do I need warmup on an old mailbox? If the mailbox has sent normal business email for months, it already has a reputation and can start with a modest daily limit. Turn warmup on anyway when its emails start landing in spam or after a long pause.

Conservative, normal or aggressive? The intensity sets how many warmup emails a day the mailbox sends, rising week by week (your Target Daily Limit caps it):

IntensityWeek 1Week 2Week 3Week 4From week 5Best for
Conservative58121520a brand-new domain
Normal815253540most mailboxes
Aggressive1525405060domains that have sent email for a long time

Why am I receiving strange emails? Those are warmup emails from other warmup mailboxes. They look like short conversations, are answered automatically, and are normal while warmup is on.

What is the warmup filter? Some providers (Gmail in particular) need a filter so warmup emails skip your inbox and are not flagged. When a mailbox needs one, the Warmup column shows Set up filter: download the filter file, import it into Gmail, then click Verify filter. Until it is verified that mailbox does not receive warmup emails.

Can I send campaigns while warmup is running? Yes. Warmup emails and campaign emails are counted separately: the warmup limit is set here, the campaign limit under ⋮ → Daily Sending Limit (Email accounts). Keep the campaign limit low while the mailbox is new.

How do I know it is working? The Warmup column shows today's warmup emails sent against the limit. Your AI assistant can also report inbox vs spam placement of the warmup emails and the mailbox's reputation (MCP tab); the reputation is only shown once a health check from the last 7 days backs it.
